Coconut (previously Gunner) is a handsome boy that came to Where The Love Is Animal Rescue in October of 2022. At that time, he was found on the front porch of a random home in Texas. He stayed there for 2 days and was so well behaved that the homeowner strongly believed he must have had a home and a family. Unfortunately, Coconut remained unclaimed and was turned over to animal control. That is when Where The Love Is scooped him up and transported him to CT. He was adopted out to a wonderful family that was sensitive to his emotional needs and helped him learn to feel safe and loved. As the family grew in number, Coconut seemed to regress. His anxiety was at an all-time high and his family recognized he was not the happy-go-lucky boy they knew he could be (they caught a glimpse of this side of Coconut every once in a while, especially when he was around other dogs). He is looking for a new family where he can decompress, meet new friends and spend some time with other dogs too!
