Meet Callie!
Callie is a sweet, medium-to-high energy bulldog-American bully mix, about 2–3 years old, with a gorgeous, velvety brindle coat and an irresistible smile. Her whole body wiggles with joy when she sees her favorite people! Callie’s personality is enthusiastic, loving, and a little bit silly—she truly loves her people with her whole being and just wants to make them happy.
What Callie Loves
Callie enjoys walks, playtime, and especially cuddle sessions on the couch. She’s affectionate and bonds deeply with her family. While she loves activity, she also knows how to relax when it’s time to unwind.
The Perfect Home for Callie
Callie would thrive as the only pet in a calm, low-traffic home where her people are around often. She’s housetrained, knows “sit,” “no,” and “come,” and is eager to learn more. She’s very trainable and wants to please!
Important Things to Know
• Energy Level: Medium-high. Callie has bursts of excitement (especially when greeting you!) but settles well afterward.
• Other Pets: Callie has lived with dogs before and currently shares her foster home with one. However, we believe she’ll thrive best as the only pet. While Callie is loving with people, she struggles with dog reactivity and likely missed out on proper socialization as a puppy. Because of this, introductions to other dogs can be challenging and would require a very slow, structured process—likely weeks of careful management before a calm meeting is possible. For this reason, we recommend an only-pet home. If you have a dog and are still interested in adopting Callie, please reach out so we can discuss whether it might work. Callie hasn’t been cat-tested, but given her playful, enthusiastic nature, a cat-free home is likely the best fit.
• People: Callie can be nervous with new people and is protective of her home. Visitors should meet her outside first and use a calm approach (no touch, no talk, no eye contact) before coming inside. Once she trusts you, her loving personality shines!
This amazing girl was found tied to a fence with a note saying, “Hi, my name is Callie. I’m friendly and I need a new home.” Despite that rough start, she hasn’t let it bring her down—she radiates joy and gratitude every day.
If you’re looking for a devoted, snuggly companion who will love you unconditionally and fill your life with smiles, Callie might just be your perfect match!
